Rosemerry Blash, Reading Teacher
Hi! I’m Rosemerry Blash. Many families know me through Blashlearning and Blash and my tutoring services I’m a Reading Specialist and licensed elementary teacher with 25 years of experience working with K–6 students, from brand-new readers to those who need a boost and those racing ahead.
I created The 15 Minute Reading Boost. This is an excellent guide for homeschool parents who want clear, doable next steps for teaching reading.

Simple, Effective Reading Instruction
I partner with homeschool families to make reading instruction simple and effective. My work blends explicit, structured phonics with Charlotte Mason–inspired methods like narration and living books. I create practical tools — including the 15-Minute Reading Boost and a Confident Reader Starter Kit — so parents can teach decoding, fluency, comprehension, and stamina without overwhelm.

I use short, consistent lessons that stack wins. We target the right skill at the right time. I help you teach your child how to decode accurately, read smoothly, think deeply, then build endurance.
I keep the tone supportive and encouraging, because confidence is a reading skill, too. My resources are designed to be opened and used the same day. You spend less time planning and more time reading

I believe every child can become a confident reader when instruction is clear, purposeful, and human. I’m drawn to approaches that honor attention and wonder while staying grounded in the science of reading.
